Video Game Mechanics Showcase

I'm documenting and exploring interesting game mechanics from various titles. Here are some interactive demonstrations with short descriptions. I will expand the library as well as add more games that use those mechanics.

Tetris-style inventory management

Resident Evil 4Dredge

Can be seen in Resident Evil 4 or Dredge. This inventory system requires players to arrange items of different shapes within a limited grid space. Players must strategically rotate and position items to maximize space efficiency, creating a puzzle element in item management.

Dice rolls with reduced number of dices over time

Citizen Sleeper

In Citizen Sleeper, the number of dice used in the game is reduced over time. Player can mitigate this by using special items or abilities. Each dice can be used to make progress towards the goal.
